Born in the small town of Uxbridge, MA, Nancy grew up surrounded by music. Her father played trumpet, trombone, lap steel and sang, and her mother played guitar, bass and sang. Each of her parents had grown up performing in their own right. When Nancy was seven, she was asked which instrument she’d like to play, and she chose the piano. Her first performance was that same year when she sang for a crowd celebrating a wedding anniversary. Seven years later, she did her first “gig” with a successful group led by her dad. Soon after, she formed a band with several of her high school classmates. She’s been performing and writing songs since the age of fourteen, sometimes with a group, and sometimes as a solo performer.

At the age of 17, she met her soon-to-be lifelong friend, Rob Rose. Rob was then teaching at Berklee College of Music and encouraged Nancy to attend. Within a few years, Nancy was also teaching at Berklee at the age of twenty-two.

In the mid-eighties, Nancy married and moved to Nashville, TN. She continued writing and performing, and she went on the road with several recording artists in a supporting role of keyboard player and backup vocalist. She also performed all over Nashville and the Southeast with her band and as a solo performer. During those years, Nancy gave birth to two beautiful and talented daughters.

At the beginning of the millennium, Nancy moved to Connecticut to be closer to her family and she rejoined the faculty at Berklee. Soon after, she dedicated her life to the Lord. After being part of the worship team as a pianist at her church, it wasn’t until several years later, after she moved back to Massachusetts, that she was given the opportunity to lead worship for the first time. She felt so blessed by the experience that she continued to seek out ways to continue to share her gifts in the art of worship.

She met a very special pastor who gave her just what she’d been praying for, the chance to lead worship on a weekly basis. Nancy’s love of doing just that led her to begin writing Christian songs of faith and worship. Her latest album release, Sing Praises!, is the culmination of a year’s labor of love.

Nancy continues to teach and write and record songs, both Christian and secular.
